From collecting items for sick and shut-in seniors and
visiting local elementary schools talking about public safety to escorting families for military funerals, the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office places a high value on
community involvement. Some of the community programs we participate in and support include:
In addition the MCSO Citizens’ Academy is offered for citizens to learn more about how the Sheriff’s Office role and duty along with and how tax dollars are spent. The Reality Program introduces young people to the criminal justice system and educates them about the risks, consequences and long-term results of criminal behavior.
We believe in our mission/vision/guiding principles, as well as, in our community. For more information about a community service program, contact Officer Erik Hagesether at 980-314-5002.
